The heart of any business is the people who put in the long hours and the hard work. We wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for all the hard work each and every day that goes into every dish, every glass of wine and every order taken. Here are some of our fearless leaders who help make the magic happen.

Chris Hartman​  - Chef


Chris Hartman knew from an early age of that he wanted to be a Chef. He got an early start in kitchens at the age of 14. He went to school at the Cordon Bleu in Ottawa for both cooking and baking. From there he was given an opportunity to work in France which he jumped on, and for the next 7 years he worked in hotels and Michelin starred restaurants all over the world. Returning to Calgary, he took up the position of Chef at the Bears Den. It was here where Chris started to work with local products and producers. This passion brought him to Farm restaurant, where he continued this work.


His new venture, Fence & Post, will be a showcase for what Alberta has to offer, his travels and what he has learned in 20 years of cooking

Brandie Ferrell  - Wine Director

Brandie has been in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years.  During that time she has worked all over Canada, and has travelled around the world in a quest to learn about wine, and taste as much as possible!  Brandie works hard to keep our wine list fresh and interesting, all while featuring unique and small producers.
